This program is one part of our goal to have a local outreach, a home missions experience, and a foreign missions experience for every high school student. Starting with the ’06-’07 school year, all high school students will be encouraged to join a community service team. These teams will do approximately twenty hours of service in a school year and will run alongside of fall, winter, and spring sports. Our athletic teams will each do seven hours of community service and for those not on an athletic team, these other teams will be available.

Teams will volunteer locally at places like Second Harvest, the Christian Center, a nursing home, the Pregnancy Care Center, etc. This is another opportunity for student leadership, since each team will be led by a student leader reporting to the outreach director of student council.
