SE Term comes in the middle of second semester and serves as a kind of retreat for the second half of the year. However, during this “retreat,” we stay at the school. During this time, the teachers and staff offer two-day modules covering a Biblical topic such as forgiveness, sibling relationships, dating, etc. Students then sign up for the modules that they would like to take and spend those two days going to modules instead of their normal classes. At the end of each day, a speaker is brought in for a corporate chapel.
The main purpose for SE Term is to encourage discipleship connections between faculty and staff. This opportunity enables all faculty to relate to students outside of their subject area and as a result, new relationships are often formed. In addition, the students directly benefit from the practical content taught in the modules.
